FIND OUT YOUR AIMS IN LIFE.....

 FINDING YOUR AIMS IN LIFE.....

In order to give good service to others it is important for you to be confident in yourself  and in your job. It is your life. Only you can decide what you want from it .

Seldom we do meet people who are so contented that they want nothing more from their lives.

Most of us have dreams and ambitions. Our aims are material - bigger house, big car, better job, more overseas travel etc. Achieving these aims probably takes a concerted effort in terms of decision making and breaking the mould of our lives. It is far easier to float with the current than to swim against the tide.

But  to make changes in the less material aspects of our lives takes an even greater effort.

Star by considering

1. What would make life more meaningful

2. What would give you more satisfaction

3. What would enable you to jump into bed at the end of each day contented with your achievement and progress of that day.

- How to define your goals in life ?

- What are your strengths and how can you make better use of them?

- What gives you a feeling of happiness and fulfilment ?

- Do Exercises to help you achieve goals.

Exercise - Day Dream : - My ideal life

Purpose: A search in the secret hidden corners of your brain to find what you would really like to do with your life. When you have created a dream of your ideal life you can then set out to achieve it.

It is a good idea to let your thoughts wander far and wide. You can sometimes learn things about yourself that will surprise you.

1. Relax your body and mind completely . Sit with your back straight , close your eyes and breathe easily. Imagine you are resting on a  soft white rug.  You are surrounded by big soft warm  white cushions. The temperature is just right, air is soft and you are very comfortable.

2. Begin to daydream

Try to imagine that you are in your favorite place with the people who matter most to you.

You are in a very pleasant and peaceful mood- feeling just right.

Take plenty of time, perhaps an hour or so and submerge yourself in a colourful dream. Enjoy every moment of it.

What do you look like

who is with you

What are you doing

Picture all the details of the colours, sounds , smells etc

3. Describe your dream or write it down. Share it with your spouse / partner/ friend. Draw or paint it if you can: colours are better to describe all the details of place , people , activities, feelings and mood.

Exercise : I wish I could

Purpose : Identify some of your strengths , talents and abilities you wish you had.

Realize why you want them and decide how to get them. Start planning to reach your goals. Work towards utilizing your potential to a greater degree.

The stronger the wish , the greater the probability of it coming true.

What to do :

1. List some strengths and , talents and abilities you would like to develop.

2. State why.

3. Write down what you need to do to achieve or acquire these

4. Answer quite honestly if you are prepared to make the necessary effort.

5. Prioritize your list, the most important marked 1, the next 2 etc

1.  I wish I could

2. Why

3. How to do it

4.  Will I ?

5.  Priority
