MAGIC OF LAUGHTER

       Magic of Laughter

Laugh at least 15 times a day, if you want to be healthy

Do not laugh at others laugh at yourself.

 Laugh without a reason.

 Laughter should be unconditional.

Make sure your face always wears a smile.

LAUGHTER IS ONE OF THE DEEPEST MEDICINES  NATURE HAS PROVIDED MAN WITH.

IF YOU CAN LAUGH WHEN YOU ARE ILL YOU WILL GET YOUR HEALTH BACK SOON

IF YOU CAN’T LAUGH, EVEN IF YOU ARE HEALTHY, SOONER OR LATER YOU WILL LOSE YOUR HEALTH

WHEN YOU REALLY LAUGH, FOR THOSE FEW MOMENTS YOU ARE IN A DEEP MEDITATIVE STATE.

  THINKING STOPS

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO LAUGH AND THINK TOGETHER

THEY ARE DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSITE: EITHER YOU CAN LAUGH OR YOU CAN THINK

IF YOU KNOW A FEW MOMENTS OF NO-MIND, THOSE GLIMPSES WILL PROMISE YOU MANY REWARDS.

.  This is nothing but Meditation, when you laugh thinking stops and you get into zero thoughts.

People do meditate for hours together to make their minds empty. It happens with lots of effort and with no distraction at all.

On another side, Laughing brings that meditative state in no time.

All kinds of wonderful things happen when you laugh

Your lung capacity expands, improving respiration and oxygen consumption.

Your immune system is activated- so you can better fight infection. Your body releases more of the protective T cells that fight virus and cancer cells

Endorphins- your body’s natural painkillers- are released into the brain, decreasing stress.

-- Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.

A type of therapy that uses humor to help relieve pain and stress and improve a person's sense of well-being. It may be used to help people cope with a serious disease, such as cancer. Laughter therapy may include laughter exercises, clowns, comedy movies, books, games, and puzzles.

Patients become better after watching comedy movies. Patients forget about their illness for a while when they are watching some good comedy movie. This helps improve their health at a better rate. It is always good to expose patients with serious illnesses to good comedy movies time and again. Patients may come out as winner if we are able to remove their sickening thoughts by diverting their attention to something else i.e comedy movies, games, puzzles etc..

 Related small story:-

Some years back, I  received a warning letter from my then BOSS stating that "you are disturbing your colleagues by laughing too loudly during office hours and your colleagues have complained that they are unable to concentrate on their studies. So, I hereby warn you to maintain discipline and control your laugh during office hours ." It was an allegation that my boss made against me but I rejected it saying that it is a baseless allegation. And I further said to my Boss that Laughter can never disturb anyone rather it will make another person also laugh at the same pace. Laughter makes friends not enemies.

There were some heated arguments for some days between me and my then boss before it got settled down. I started controlling my laughter with great difficulty to keep my boss calm. On the other side, I was feeling very happy and proud that I received a warning letter for laughing loudly in the office. It was like an award for me. I never imagined that laughing can get me a warning letter. This was a great surprise for me. Today, when I feel that I have not laughed for the last full week, I take that same warning letter received from my then boss, preserved for last many many years, i read it again and then laugh a lot. Even today, when I share this fact with my family and friends, laughter breaks from all sides.

Please make laughter part of your everyday life as this is the best medicine ever for your mind and body. This is experimented and tested time and again

Only you can decide what you want from it . Seldom we do meet people who are so contented that they want nothing more from their lives.  Most of us have dreams and ambitions. Our aims are material - bigger house, big car, better job, more overseas travel etc. Achieving these aims probably takes a concerted effort in terms of decision making and breaking the mould of our lives. It is far easier to float with the current than to swim against the tide. But  to make changes in the less material aspects of our lives takes an even greater effort. Star by considering 1. What would make life more meaningful 2. What would give you more satisfaction 3. What would enable you to jump into bed at the end of each day contented with your achievement and progress of that day. - How to define your goals in life ? - What are yo...
